We're very excited to welcome another local star to the Pier One Stage.

Raised in Devon the Bristol based singer-songwriter Jamie Yost had early success with his 2018 single “Runaway” reaching over 300,000 streams. Yost’s music focuses heavily on poetic lyricism, his Folk roots and interwoven Alt-Pop melodies that bring moments of Bon Iver, Ben Howard to The War on Drugs and Dermot Kennedy.

Since 2018 Jamie has caught the eye of prestigious festivals delivering headline performances at Cambridge Folk Festivals ‘The Den’ stage, performing on the emerging Artists ‘The View Stage’ at Boardmasters and supporting the likes of Nathan Ball, Ward Thomas and Ferris & Sylvester. In 2022 Yost teamed up with the illustrious Youtube Channel ‘Mahogany’ to share an exclusive performance of his track ‘Storm’ standing him next to previous powerhouse performers including Billie Eilish & Dermot Kennedy.

Jamie finished off 2022 with the release of his second EP ‘Yesteryears’, an entirely self produced lockdown record and a deep dive into older folkier material. In 2024 Yost released his most dynamic record yet the ‘This is home’ EP with a bigger more commercial sound including the recent singles 'Nightmares' & ‘Drifting On’. Jamie is set to release brand new music early 2025 as a Help Musicians-supported Artist.

Join us at Pier One for another unmissable sunset session. We are honoured to welcome local legend, Alex Hart, for an exclusive gig at Pier One.

Devon born singer/ songwriter Alex Hart is proving to be an important addition to the UK's current crop of classy country and roots artists. Following the success of Alex’s debut album, her voice and musicianship caught the eye of legendary Jethro Tull guitarist Martin Barre, who asked Alex to be a part of his band as a musician and vocalist for their European and international tour dates. Alex has performed and toured all over the UK/Europe with the band as well as an international US tour in Spring 2022.
Alex also collaborates and performs alongside the critically acclaimed Devon born folk singer Seth Lakeman, Alex’s voice as well her multi-instrumental playing features heavily on his brand-new album. The single “Higher We Aspire” is recieved huge BBC Radio 2 support, and Alex performed the song live on BBC Breakfast TV. Alex is often touring with Seth on sold-out UK tours.
Alex sold a staggering 10,000 copies of her self made, self produced album “Under the Covers” that she recorded and released at her home studio during lockdown in 2020.
Alex Hart is not only a talented vocalist, but an accomplished musician too. Her latest album, ‘Visions’ has been met with much critical acclaim.

Daisy Mae is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Plymouth whose music is in the style of acoustic jazz and indie pop. She is inspired by musicians with soulful melodies and truthful lyrics such as Bob Marley, Julie London, Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan, and Ella Fitzgerald.

Having performed at various prestigious venues and festivals, Daisy Mae brings a wealth of experience and dynamic presence to every stage she graces. Daisy Mae’s performance style is intimate, soulful and emotionally engaging. With Pier One’s unbeatable view and Daisy’s luscious guitar and vocals, this is set to be an unforgettable evening.

For our fourth session, we welcome local legend Olly Parker to the stage for a laidback evening of luscious guitar and vocals.

Olly is a local singer/songwriter who grew up by the new Forest and moved to Plymouth in 2012 to study. He became a regular of the Open Mic Scene and started playing all over the city. His style is inspired by his artist's such as James Taylor, John Mayer and Passenger and displays some creative chords progressions, Chill melody and silky vocals.

He's currently working on various projects such as 'The Busketeers', 'Drakes Island and 'Jamie Yost' and will be playing a selection of originals old and new.

Pier One's resident musician and barista returns to the stage, this time with Andy Obeyesekere, guitarist of local indie band 'Foxhole', for an evening of soulful indie music.

Kate Hall is a singer-songwriter from Plymouth. Kate began learning the piano at the age of seven and soon began combining her love of writing with music, realising songwriting as a tool to manage and channel her experiences and the emotions deriving from them. Now in her 20s, this passion-come-therapy has evolved into a captivating set of original material. Her songs cover a range of subjects including love, fear, heartbreak, hope, lust and shame - often all appearing in the space of one song. Raised on a plethora of musical genres, Kate's melodies are uniquely soulful. Her raw and often powerful lyrics delivered in a smooth bluesy vocal have led her to be likened to artists such as Amy Winehouse, Adele, Norah Jones and KT Tunstall.
